High school Back to School Night is a whole different animal than elementary school Back to School Night.  Granted, they both begin the night the same way, with a mind-numbing series of announcements, speeches, and awards presented by an array of administrators most of whose names you will forget even faster

than you forget what they were talking about.

Who ARE These People?

I try to take my kids the 1400-ish miles to visit my parents a couple times a year.

But I can’t.

We can go to their house.  We can visit the people who live there and look just like my parents.  But they are not my parents.

I don’t know who these people are, but they are not my parents.
