Hope Remains

Hope Remains

I was thinking about my friends who are in the midst of dealing with so much in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.  I can hardly imagine facing that kind of devastation, and trying, in the midst of it, to provide for and to take care of my family and neighbors.

I’m sure that many have found strength they didn’t know they had.

I’m praying hope for all of them.

To find out other ways you can help go to:

Daddy Knows Less Blog for photos of the aftermath and suggestions for local relief efforts to join in on.

Children’s Hunger Fund Hurricane Sandy Response to donate either funds or bulk supplies.  I’ve known CHF President Dave Phillips for years.  This is an integrity filled organization that gets 99% of what it takes in back out to those in need.

Nearly all of us have more than we need.  Please consider giving some of it to those who have lost everything.

Thank you in advance for your caring and compassion.

Hope

In the rain and the rainbow

Singing and sleeping

The dew and the grass

In the twinkling of stars

Laughter of children

The smile of age

In the leaves of the trees

Sunshine

The coming dawn

In the music of springtime

Aroma of sweetness

The hidden blush of the bloom

In the beat of a heart

Breath of a hero

The eyes of love
