Hey, You! Yeah, You! Thanks!
Heya!
I just wanted to take a moment to tell you, my readers, I am so thankful for you.
I know that it might sound pat or stupid, but I really am thankful for each and every one of you.
I wish there was a way I could tell each of you individually that I appreciate you stopping by, but frankly there are too many of you for me to do that. Also, I don’t know who a great many of you are, although I am enjoying meeting more and more of you all the time.
But, anonymous or familiar, I want you to know that I consider it an honor that you choose to spend some of your time, your most valuable commodity here, reading my words. I don’t know if I can even convey how much that means to me, as a writer, to know that you invest part of your limited time in me and my work. But, it is an amazing gift you give to me by spending your time here. Thank you for that.
Many of you share my work with your friends and family. Wow! That is just the best! It’s wonderful to know that someone believes your work is worth reading. It’s even another level beyond that to know they value it enough to share with their friends and family and colleagues. I’m blown away by the support I receive from you. Thank you for that.
I received an email (many of you use the contact page above to email me) from someone asking if it was ok that she was sharing my work on her Facebook page. I told her that there is no higher compliment for any writer than to know that someone enjoys their work enough to want to introduce others to it.
Those of you that share my work on one or more of the many social media platforms, and those of you who hang it up at the office or read it to your spouse, not only support my work, which is wonderful, but you also give my spirit a boost. Thank you so much.
And, thank you to the many, many of you who have taken time to share a bit of your life and what’s going on in it with me. I read every message I get on Facebook and twitter, and every email, message, and comment from the blog. It might take me a little bit to get back to you, but it’s an important priority to me to do so.
You have made me cry when you’ve shared your pain, laugh when you’ve shared the silliness in your day, and feel proud of the way you’ve carried on and shown up for life, even when it was unbelievably difficult.
When I’m having a rough day and wondering if it’s worth sitting down at the keyboard, I think of you and what you’ve told me. I think about the gentleman who told me that his wife had recently died, and that, throughout the course of her long illness, he had counted on reading my work every day to find some joy.
I think about the young mom who told me that her husband was working 18 hour days, and that she was at the end of her rope, exhausted as a stay at home mom of 3 kids under age 4. And, that she stumbled upon my blog and laughed and smiled for the first time in weeks.

And, the frosty drink of your choice!
I think about the college student that told me she started reading my work in her dorm room, because she was procrastinating studying for her finals, and kept with it because it makes her feel closer to home.
I’m honored and humbled by these people, and by the many others who have shared with me. Each of you has given me a special gift by sharing with me.
So, please, allow me to say it again:
Thank you so much, my dear readers. You bless me and you honor me and you have given me more than you know.
Thank you for allowing me to help you laugh out loud.
Love,
-gina
I love when you leave me a comment. I look forward to reading them.
If you want to communicate in a more private way, feel free to email me through my contact page or to message me through Facebook. It may take me a bit to get back to you, but I read every one.
Thank you for taking time to share your day with me!

February 9, 2013I believe I speak for many. You are so welcome. Whenever what you write raises someone’s spirits and makes one forget their troubles, for just a little while, you have done a good thing. 😀
