Friday Funnies – Super Bowl Edition
Compiled by Gina Valley
The teams are trained.
The brats are bought.
The chips are in the bag.
The legalized marijuana jokes have been made.
The keg of guacamole is tapped.
Time for some laughs before we settle in for the pre-game coverage.
Are you ready for the kick off?
Here’s my Friday Funnies – Super Bowl Edition:
Laugh Out Loud!

February 1, 2014Gina, the cartoon with the Lion King and his son is so apropos. The Detroit Lions really don’t know it’s football. Their best was during the Wayne Fontes era, in the late 80s when I was still living and working in Detroit. The team went 8 and 8, and you would have thought we’d all become overnight millionaires! This put us in the 1st round of the “Wild Card” games, where we were roundly trounced by I-forget-who.
I live down here in Tampa now, and I think Pirates, in the form of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers don’t know what football is, either, so we can add them to the Texans, Browns, and oh yes, the pitiful Jaguars, who have the most terrible PR team in the history of forever. If you want to cringe, look up their PR “Jaguar Roar” or “Claw” or whatever from 2 seasons ago. Downright embarrassing, but funny nonetheless! We’re rooting for the Seahawks, but I think JC still believes the 49’ers have a shot! xoxo

February 2, 2014The sad thing about the Lions is how much Detroit would benefit from having them do well, and how supportive their fans would be. They could really use something to bring them all together.
My hub and sons are with JC. They are all mourning the 49er’s season.

February 6, 2014How funny….. So much preparation is put into Superbowl Sunday. It is definitely a day to eat and root for your team….. And then there are the commercials. 🙂
